The Lazaro Project are a group of photos that were taken by photographer Alfonso De Castro. In it he separates and bounds the themes of many conflicting emotions and feelings, ones we all feel on a day to day basis. Here he captures those emotions in a nutshell in a photograph and in a moment.
Writer Jin Xiao (金潇) recently commented on these photos:
“Alfonso’s work has its roots in Documentary Photography; documentary from a contemporary perspective. His job is the thin line that separates life and death, joy and sorrow, pain and pleasure, sex and love. He shows the feelings and sensations that the body contains and he often takes us out of our comfort zone.”
